Take rice::moongdal in 3:1 ratio and add 2 glasses of water per 1 glass of above mixture.

Put it in cooker and cook it

On the side, cut onions and put them in a pan with oil and cumin seeds and saute it until it turns brown

Then add coriander powder and chillis or chilli powder as needed

Add the prepared rice and moongdal mixture to the pan and mix well with onions

Add salt as well while mixing as needed

Serve with pickle and curd on the side
