Urgent Help , Stopped By Cop For Expired Registration

I was stopped by cop for driving with expired registration , he gave me a court date 

he didn't even give me any options took my license and kept it with him , asked to me attend the court and collect my driving license 

 

what will happen in the court , this is first time i will going to court

 

cop asked me to change the plate , i did not understand , does that mean i need to renew my number plate or do a new registration all together ??? cop said to " change the plate and collect your DL at court ani annadau "

 

i would appreciate your suggestions

3 months aaa dmv nundi letter raledhaa??/ fine kattali dmv ki inthaki which state?

IT IS IN ILLINOIS , I REMEMBER GETTING A LETTER FROM DMV and also i remember sending them check , sudden ga cop gurthu chesadu when he stopped me , i was suprised

ok if you are sure you sent a check to them.... check for the check number and take it and submit in the court... you won't see the judge first... court clerk ki chupinchi I sent check, i don't know why it did not get renewed anu.... waive chestaru anni fines
