Since you're a member of National Geographic, we wanted to share some exciting news with you. On March 14 at 8 p.m. ET, we're going to take you around the world—literally—in a special two-hour television event called Live from Space. We'll be broadcasting live from the International Space Station and Mission Control in Houston, Texas. You've never seen our planet quite like this before.

In collaboration with NASA, we'll go into orbit with astronauts Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata nearly 250 miles (402 kilometers) above the Earth's surface. Meanwhile, host Soledad O'Brien will join astronaut Mike Massimo on the ground at Mission Control. While you're watching the broadcast, we'd love for you to let us know what you think by using #LiveFromSpace on Twitter.

Do you want to say "hi" to the astronauts in person? Take a photo or video of yourself waving to the astronauts and share it on Instagram with #HelloFromEarth. If you need inspiration, see who's already said hello.

Don't forget to tune in to the National Geographic Channel on Friday, March 14, at
8 p.m. ET
to take part in this epic adventure. You won't want to miss this incredible show!

What is it about space that captures our imaginations? For centuries we've studied the skies, trying to understand the mysteries of the cosmos. What's out there waiting to be discovered, and what drives us to keep pushing the limits of space exploration?

On March 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET, join us for a live video conversation with space architectConstance Adams, astronaut Piers Sellers, and planetary geologist Bethany Ehlmann. We'll discuss our passion for space and what inspires us to keep exploring.

Want to know what it's like to perform a spacewalk? Or direct the Mars rover Curiosity? Post your questions about space exploration on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter using #LetsExplore, and you might be selected to join our participants during the Hangout.

If you don't have a Google+ account, just click here to watch the live video conversation on March 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET. We'll see you then!
