Spike Aerospace is building what it hopes will be the world's first supersonic business jet, one capable of traveling at Mach 1.8. The S-512, expected to launch in 2018, could cut travel time in half.

In order to bring down costs and reduce drag, the S-512 won't have windows. Instead, the cabin will be lined with screens that can display the landscape outside.

In the evening, travelers can opt to dim the screens. If a passenger would rather not look at the landscape, they can choose to play a movie on the walls of the cabin instead.

Executives could also use the embedded screens to give PowerPoint presentations while in the air.

Aerion Corporation is also developing a supersonic business jet that could hit speeds of Mach 1.6. To help eliminate drag and reduce fuel costs, they've teamed up with NASA to come up with a technologically advanced wing design that can reduce overall drag by 20%.
