Linux Admins Help Info Needed.

Hi Linux Admins- Chinna help info Kavali bhayyas. nenu oka Dell Server konna it didnt have any OS on it. nenu Oka 1TB hard Drive konna and fixed to the server. USB drive lo Linux Install Chestunna so that i can boot the OS from USB drive. na dout enti ante can i make the Hard Drive as a mount point and or can i make 1TB hard drive into partitions? if Yes ela cheyyalo koncham cheppandi. i am not a linux admin i am a dba. nenu follow avuthunna process wrong ithe please suggest me correct path.
