princh01 Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 Em ledhu bhayya, Canada lo PR ki vacchi chala ways unnayi. First one vacchi Federal stream, this is the one that princh01 was talking about. And it was very famous for long time. Now, they made this one a bit difficult to apply. Other than this, each province has its own stream of giving visas. For example, Alberta, Nova Scotia, Quebec and etc. For example, for Quebec, married ayyi undi..iddharu konchem masters (or may be bachelors degree) qualification undi..edho experience unte...without IELTS, points, they give some thing called Nominee form saying that they want to nominate this person to live in thier province. And with that approved nominee, you apply to the Candian immigration board saying that you have been nominated and want to apply for PR. They issue the PR with the condition that you are intended to live in only that province. Note, it is just intention, things may change once you go there. and when they give you the PR card, they give it for Canada not just for that province, meaning technically you can move to different provinces. Now a days, all these provinces have made these nominee programmes a bit difficult to apply. Some of them are asking that you need to have a job or just offer letter so that they will nominate you. Some times, these provinces change their rules so dynamically, some times not needing the job offer and etc. On side note, I have PR under Alberta nominee programme, they have opened a stream called strategic stream , in which they started accepting the applications from the people who have worked in the U.S for an year and still have H1B. But they have closed it very immediately (luckily I got it). Similarly I heard that Nova Scotia has relaxed their rules (no job or job offer required) and included some eligible fields (like IT, Medicine, Pharmacy and etc) and accepting the applications for the nominee programme. The best way is to keep looking the website of each province for any new information and when they relax the rules, send the application immediately. Usually, the application for nominee programme doesn't ask you to pay any money, they don't ask u to prove that you have enough points or IELTS score. So, better check their websites. For Nova Scotia - http://novascotiaimmigration.com/immigrate/skilled-worker/ http://novascotiaimmigration.com/immigrate/ Look at this link - http://novascotiaimmigration.com/immigrate/immigrateregional-labour-market-demand/ They have given In Demand List of Occupations. If your occupation in one of that list, you will be nominated easily. Good luck. nova scotia has given 500 visas only under community workers(RLMD) in 2011 n 2012 by federal gov, and now the federal gov given permission for an extra 200 visas so it makes up to 700 this yr probably. as per quebec skilled workers, from 2013 august the gov is strict on FRENCH even if you getting 70 0r 90 points, they are asking to prove french skills upto A2( B2 is standard if u need to get points though) i appreciate you for sharing some info here.
