I simple trick is look at the brides parents. How her mother treating her father.

Who has control in the family .I mean who speaks more either father or mother. I have seen if brides mother coming and speaking blah blah ###### same attitude will be their daughter. 

Look how bride is treating her father. If any girl treating her father as hero , she deftly treat husband as a real star hero. 

Look at the family how they are treating in terms of traditions and customs. whether they are following or not. 

Look at the family how much they are scared to God and society. 

One important thing is who is the head of the family in terms of decision making either mother or father. If its mother I sincerly request not to look at her daughter even if she is Aishwarya Rai  .\
