dkc Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 but that would mean india is no country for rich Is that a bad thing?
Ekambaram Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Is that a bad thing? i guess it would be.. cos a rich can lift the poor..or atleast try to... anyways thats not the case these days..may be you are right...india should be no country for rich...let them preserve in Swiss and live there...why bother the rest
dkc Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 ok, and regarding ur comment on JP, he was just answering a fb question, anthe kani ade valla party fight chestunna main issue kaadu the problem with JP is oka strong foundation ledhu kadha.. even if he promises good governance as a platform (which is a very good one), its tough to sell the idea to enough people to make a dent in the elections. So I understand why he's picking on issues like dynasty, etc.. it is because he thinks people can easily identify with that. But that makes him no different than other politicians who are dishonest. I think he realises the limits of his platform and his organization, and is unable to find the one hot idea that will propel him to greatness. IMO, he's better off being a bureaucrat.
dkc Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 jp edhanna baga venaka padina prantham nunchi poti chesi, develop chesi chupinchali, development gurinchi matladadanta, entha matladi em upayogam, chesi chupinchali MLA ki antha power emundhi oka pranthanni develop chese antha? unless minister aithe, then possible. MP too same.

dkc Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 atleast he can do in his range technically MLA/MP doesn't represent his constituency and is not obliged to do anything to it. His/her job is to frame, debate and help pass bills. Indian democracy is fcuked up because people expect their MLA to 'do' things for their area. and the local councilor who is the right person to 'do' that, doesn't have enough power. If an MLA actually does something for an area, he's overstepping in his duties and is doing something outside the spirit of the constitution. Real world works in strange ways I can sometimes understand. Only thing I don't understand is why people complain about their representatives not being around in their area until elections are announced. That is how it is supposed to work. MLA who roams in his area all the time, is definitely being unproductive and a burden on our system.
