with the current technology, its inevitable.

I hope tissue regeneration picks up soon, and I can choose when I wish to die, mostly of boredom.

India is not a union? then what is it?

right to secede is not written in constitution perhaps because India is not as confident as the US about its own usefulness to its states.

Our states are formed mostly on linguistic basis after we got freedom, whereas in the US, most states already existed before Union.
By the way, if someone was crazy enough to attempt, it would be TN.

states existed before and after freedom, but they were rearranged. India is still defined as a union.

I'm not saying TN will attempt it, but slowly it has more economical and political clout than all other states in India. Its just about half the size of karnataka, but has 12 more mps in lok sabha. less than half the size of AP, but almost equal MPs.

Its slightly logical that richer states if denied political space (in the future) will think about walking away from the union.

and they'll negotiate terms from a higher ground. This is why to counter TN, rest of states (esp BJP ones) should drop this pretense of development politics, and try to emulate TN. AP did that well under YSR.

I believe you are exaggerating the development of TN. If it is so prosperous and superior to rest of the Indian states, then why are the majority of Labour workforce in Saudi come from TN?
Don't tell me the money factor, they live like slaves over there.

There is no walking away from the union period.
Unless TN signed a MOU at the time of independence from British. Like Hong Kong with china.

Better question to ask, why majority of people who work in hotels, construction sites around chennai, coimbatore are from AP, Orissa, even bihar, UP, North East. Because wages are higher in TN.

Indian standard ki, TN is highly developed. Saudi lo wages higher, so they go there. antha kanna em reasons untaayi.

Obviously Saudi is richer than TN.

anyway, my focus is not so much on economic development, in which TN is no pushover compared to other states in India, but general health, education, indices which are much superior compared to other states. Only Kerala and Himachal Pradesh beat and equal TN.

it may sound ridiculous now. Who knows what'll happen in the future.
