Pawan Kalyan - I Thought Prp Merger Will Do Good To Telugu People

Visakhapatnam: Power star and founder of Jana Sena party Pawan Kalyan has opened up for the first time on merger of PRP with Congress.

Addressing the party’s public meeting here, Pawan said he kept quiet on merger in the hope that it will do good to Telugu people.

He said that PRP was founded with lofty ideals. The merger was caused perhaps due to some leaders cautioning Chiranjeevi that they will join that party even if he will not merge the party. 

Just like his March 14 speech on the eve of launching his party, Pawan attacked Congress party and its high-command for giving an outrageous solution to a problem that could have been nipped in the bud.   

He once again gave a call to finish off Congress. he said: “If all the ten crore Telugu people unite and raise their voice, we can decimate Congress.”

He lambasted Congress for the most awkward manner in which the state was divided.

“They did not solve the problem when it was in nascent stage. They came up with a mad solution when the problem turned into a burning fire. I am disgusted more at the way bifurcation was effected than at the bifurcation itself”.

Congress leaders keep on bragging that theirs is 150-year-old party. “But this is what they have done to us.”

The bifurcation was done purely for personal and selfish reasons. 

Congress left its MPs to fight with one another.

I have joined politics outraged at the ways of our political leadership.

Pawan displayed the book co-authored by him named ISM and explained what has prompted him to float the party.
 

There is sentiment in Telangana and it should be respected. But it is done as part of  purely a political game, just like a monkey provokes cats into fighting, he said.

 

I have floated party not only on the issue of bifurcation, but against corruption and other issues bothering people, He added.

 

Pawan has waited for Congress president Sonia Gandhi or PM Manmohan Singh to come to Seemandhra and explain to people why they have done so. He said: “Telangana people say Sonia Gandhi is a mother. But if a son is weeping and the other is with her, the mother will approach the weeping son and console him. But Sonia  Gandhi never did this. That why she is not a mother, but is only political leader.”

 

Pawan attacked Seemandhra Congress leaders like Kavuri, Rayapati amd Botcha Satyanarayana  for worrying about their businesss and contracts but not about such a big issue like state bifurcation.

 

“We respect them, but when they are not questioning injustice, we can’t keep quiet and that why I floated the party,” he said amid huge applause form the audiences.

 

Attacking Congress on its lust for power, Pawan said that Congress Steering committee sat for 11- and-half hours at stretch to select candidates for coming back to power. “But can’t the spare at least one-and-half hour on a profound issue like bifurcation?” he questioned
