haha.. alaa kaadhu. nee anandam nuvvu chaduvuko. but for more quality, avoid Indian writers.

India ki deggara ga relatable ga easy language lo chadavaali ante, try and pick up Daniyaal Mueenuddin. He's a brilliant pakistani writer.

His recent book 'In Other Rooms, Other Wonders', is a wonderful collection of short stories about life in Pakistan.

based on your words of tamilnadu, brown skin, indian writers,  -- I got some understanding of how you think of india.

manavallani maname criticise cheyya kudadhu ante, inkevaru cheyyali?

In fact its easier to point out mistakes of our own society. For eg. Daniyaal Meeunuddin may be an awesome writer for me, but pakis may think he's a hack who uses colorful language to describe feudal pak society to impress white people.

I've read Arvind Adiga, Jhumpa Lahiri, Amitav Ghosh, and am disappointed with the level of their commentary on Indian society. I've stopped reading books now anyway, but its quite unlikely that I'll ever pick up an Indian author book unless it is recommended by some people who's judgement I trust.

Also I meant, Indian authors writing in English. I'm sure there are excellent Indian language authors. But I haven't read any.

I also remember trying to read PV Narasimha's part biographic book 'The Insider'. It was really badly written, and PV was constantly trying to portray the hero of the story as some kind of ultimate do gooder. I never finished the book.

Mostly is different from all. If you don't understand that doesn't mean it sucks for all.

Just read your post/suggestions.  Rabindranath tagore sounds familar ?

This is going off.
