java and .net both are good but java ki opportunities yekkuva. learning perspective lo .net is easier than java, java pedda ocean lantidi, being its a open source prathi odu custom frame work lu tayaru chesi vadultunnaru...never ending learning learning curve prathi tech lo untadi kaani java lo chala yekkuva

.net or java -- common topics to start are front end and database 

 

Front end -- html, html5 and css , css3 , jquery , jquery ui after all this learn any front end MV* frame work 

 

database -- joins, stored procs, using arrrays in stored procs   ( most of the healthcare companies ki sql strong vundali .net or java tho paatu).
