Guys, Can any one guide me how to start booking a visa slot in j@mica? what is the process?

Step 1: 

Visit the following website to create a new DS-160 application. It is a MUST to make sure all the information entered here is accurate and MUST match the Passport and other important documents like I-797. 

https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/default.aspx 

You don't need to fill and submit this application at one time, you can fill the information that you are sure about, save the application to your computer/online , Come back later and continue filling the application. 

Upon completion and making sure the information is correct, upload the photograph (as per specifications) and then SIGN and SUBMIT the application. DS 160 confirmation number will be generated, Print for your records. 

This application is valid for 30 days, if you don't use this application with in 30 days for booking visa interview, it will not be valid and you need to fill in a new application again. 

Step 2: 

Create a profile using your Passport number, DOB etc info here. Follow the options/steps to schedule an appointment, in this process you'll be asked to pay the visa interview fee $190, upon which you'll be able to schedule an appointment using the DS-160 confirmation number you obtained in Step 1. 

You can always cancel and reschedule (prepone/postpone) your appointment anytime within one year validity.
