ye maaya chesave Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Story: Ram (Shaam) and Lakshman a.k.a Lucky (Allu Arjun) are brothers. Ram is a sincere guy who grows up to become an honest cop. Lucky is a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys life. Ram and Lucky have a tom and jerry kind of fight going on. Siva Reddy (Ravi Kishan) is a factionist who wants to become a politician. Ram gathers evidence against Siva Reddy and Lucky unintentionally intercepts them. The rest of the story is all about the race between Lucky and Siva Reddy Performances: Allu Arjun : He has done a fantastic job as Lucky, his comedy timing is excellent as well as his expressions in funny scenes, emotional and confrontation scenes. He dominated others with his energetic performance. Others: Sruti hasan was fine as per performance and her dances too were good . Shyam was appropriate for brother;s role. Ravi kishan could not impress in main villain role, he went too overboard ,dubbing by ravishankar was a saving grace for him. Prakash raj has done a comic role ,he was good but was completely missing in the second half.Mukesh rishi,Bharani,MS Narayana and posani were alright. Brahmi was good as kill bill pandey. Ali, Jayaprakash Reddy and others were alright. Technical Departments: Screenplay- Direction : Screenplay works for the most of time though falls at places. First half is good with romance track between sruti hasan worked out well and also in between scenes of brothers thread were dealt with good care. As expected the actual story takes the momentum at the interval . Though interval episode was lengthy and the action sequence went a little overboard, director was successful in creating the interest towards second half. Second half is equal good as the first half , but the director should have taken care towards the last 20 minutes of the film.Overall surender reddy was successful in his job though he could have done better as a writer. Other Departments: Dialogues were too good, camera work by manoj paramahansa was good. Songs by S S Thaman were good and Background score was fine. Editing could have been better Action sequences were alright . My Rating; 6.5/10 Analysis: Racegurram - Allu Arjun's excellent performance and entertainment make it a perfect commercial entertainer.
