With the Federal Government of the United States of America approaching the Indian Government seeking provisional arrest of Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao in consequence to his being charged for indictment by an American court for money laundering and other charges, there are unconfirmed reports that KVP is considering entering into a plea bargain with the FBI authorities to escape punishment by submitting proof and turning into an approver against YSRC Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. If KVP submits the proof in the case of one count each of racketeering conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy, and two counts of interstate travel in aid of racketeering, and an additional charge of one count of conspiracy to violate the FCPA against Jagan and turns into a Federal approver, he could escape punishment through a suspended sentence, at best, while Jagan could face up to 60 years of imprisonment in a Federal jail. The likely extradition of KVP would happen anytime between early to mid-June and if he turns approver, as is very likely, Jagan could face US arrest summons by end of June.
