Any Specific Duration For Visitor Visa Trip Duration

My friend is applying for visitor visa for their parents.

While filling the DS form he mentioned that trip duration will be 45 days.

Could you please suggest is that duration is high? Or suggest if any documents need to show to prove that many days required for that trip.

Suggest if any ideas.
