Purandeswari Attacked With Pepper Spray

Former Union Minister and NTR's daughter Daggubati Purandeswari was physically attacked by few miscreants on Sunday night ( at around 8.30 PM) while she was campaigning for her candidature in Somala of Chittoor district. Few unidentified persons attacked Purandeswari and her followers with pepper spray. Purandeswari and her followers were slightly affected. They were taken to nearby hospital for first aid. With this her campaigning came to halt for a while.

Purandeswari is contesting from Rajampeta Lok Sabha on BJP ticket. The incident took place in the native Mandal of Purandeswari's opponent. It is suspected that her political opponents, rivals (probably YSR Congress activists) were involved in this attack. Cops have registered a formal complaint and going to probe the issue. Purandeswari has reacted on the issue. She said, "I won't get scared of such issues. I'm daughter of NTR. I know how to overcome these circumstances."
