dotnetrockz Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 Nexal's call to boycott the elections? I don't see any difference, except that the Nexal's call is a mass bycott v/s NOTA is selective boycott....but, the intenstion is same. thoughts??? NOTA is that people of that constituency uniamously supporting that decsiion that no candidate is eligible to rule them...and i heard NOTA ki majority viotes vasthe thse contesting candiadtes will not be eligible to contest in future for life time...so technically its not boycotting elections

dkc Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 Just another way to get those smug tea sipping upper middle class to come out and press some button or the other.
dotnetrockz Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 they represent, not rule people. pardon my naiveness ....yes it shud be written as "they represent"
dotnetrockz Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 neku enni aasalu man mana democracy meda chances of occurence are rare.....em telvani vadu kuda evado okadki vote vesthadu....not many of them knew abt this option in detail
Good_Boy Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 chances of occurence are rare.....em telvani vadu kuda evado okadki vote vesthadu....not many of them knew abt this option in detail first pettiddam man ee option
Khadgam Posted April 29, 2014 Author Report Posted April 29, 2014 NOTA is that people of that constituency uniamously supporting that decsiion that no candidate is eligible to rule them...and i heard NOTA ki majority viotes vasthe thse contesting candiadtes will not be eligible to contest in future for life time...so technically its not boycotting elections hmmm...I don't think NOTA ever wins, andaru criminal candidates unte thappa....in that case the implications are good...but thats a rarity... I somehow feel that undecided voters/ rebellion voters/ pro-nexal voters may quickly choose this option without giving a thought on assessing other candidates, so it may split votes, in urban areas especially.
Khadgam Posted April 29, 2014 Author Report Posted April 29, 2014 perhaps naxalism with an EVM. haha...sounds like it
