TRS May Come Close to Magic Figure!

If the early reports from all parts of Telangana are any indication, Telangana Rashtra Samithi is likely to end up being the single largest party in the new State, closely followed by the Congress.

According to sources, the TRS might get around 52-55 Assembly seats and 7 MP seats in the elections, polling for which was held on Wednesday. The Congress is likely to get anywhere between 40-45 seats. And the TRS may form the government with the support of the MIM, say sources.

Reports indicated that the TRS has fared very well even in those areas where it had little presence in the past, such as Adilabad, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda. It is learnt to have gained upper hand in several Congress strongholds. 

Surprisingly, the TDP, too, has done reasonably well in peripheries of Telangana, sources said
