Title: Application Developer 

 

Term of Assignment: Approx. 6 months each 

 

Nature of Work: Qualified candidate will be supporting the development and conversion activities associated with the SAP implementation through 8/31.

Job Summary: The senior application developer’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze software programs additionally this role will be required to mentor and help architect system design through coordination with the business and IT. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The senior application developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Education: · BS degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 7+ years equivalent work experience. Experience: · Project Management experience mandatory · Experience leading development team mandatory (1-2 years minimum) Specialty Experience Application Development · 7+ years of advanced OOP principles and design experience · Experience developing and designing n-tier applications with multi-tier architectures. · Strong relational database experience including tuning, stored procedure development and use of reporting services in a Microsoft environment. · Facets Extension development a strong plus or experience developing applications in the healthcare sector. · UML Modeling experience · XML,XSLT, Schema coding experience and translation abilities · Web Service development experience · Application development in a healthcare or payer related field a strong plus. Certification: · Certifications in Microsoft Training or comparable certifications for Java or other OOP languages (MCSD, etc.) 

 

Technical Skills: · Working technical knowledge of object-based programming languages, including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, or Python · Experience working with enterprise application Microsoft Office · Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including , including SVN, Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server · Extensive experience with Windows operating systems. · Extensive experience with Windows SQL Server database. · Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. · Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. · Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially Agile, Test Driven Development, and Waterfall · Familiarity with TDD and Iterative software development methodologies.

PI Developer At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing solutions in the following. Deep SAP PI solution development knowledge Good knowledge of Java and/or ABAP Proxy development in Java and/or ABAP Adapters (File, JDBC, SOAP, RFC, IDOC) JAVA/ABAP mappings with XSLT Monitoring using PI runtime workbench ABAP & Workflows Developer 

 

At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing solutions in the following. Classical and ALV reports, SAPScripts, Smartforms and Adobe Forms(optional), Module pool programming Data Conversion tools and Functions (LSMW, BAPI, Direct Update Programs, Call Transaction and Batch Session Processing) Enhancements (CMOD User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, Substitutions and Validations, Business Transaction Events) Data Dictionary Tools Workflows (Must have experience in designing and developing workflows for complex business transactions like purchase orders, purchase requisitions) Function modules programming (RFC, Update, BAPI) Object oriented programming in ABAP ALE, EDI, Idocs ABAP Webdynpros (Desirable) Common to both the job descriptions Proven hands on experience and expertise Review functional specifications and proactively identify gaps Interact with the functional teams and assist in closing the gaps in the functional specifications Document technical specifications, review and optimize code for performance improvement Ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues and identify root cause.
