jpismahatma Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Jagan Issues Open Threat to TDP May 2nd, 2014, 01:25 PM IST Beleaguered Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been battling with umpteen corruption charges and walked out of jail on bail, is known for his high-handedness and issuing thretens to his rivals. Jagan does it again. This time around, he publicly threatened the principal opposition TDP thereby violating election code. Jagan Reddy on Friday said in his poll campaign in Krishna district, "After the elections, TDP will not be there. It will be wiped out." This very statement is bolt out of the blue and highly condemnable given that it comes under gross violation of model code of conduct (Election code). Jagan's statement appears to be an open threat to both TDP and Andhra Pradesh voters which may spoil the political atmosphere in the State. Jagan must explain to people, EC that how a registered and recognised political party TDP, which was in government for 25 long-years in State and served Telugus and put AP on global map, "will not be there" after elections.Flashback: Earlier soon after occupying the throne, late CM Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy's government had reportedly harassed rival TDP party. TDP supporters, workers witnessed lot of harassments during his tenure. Few were even forced to join Congress by threatening to impose cases. Police records too say that several TDP party workers were killed in political clashes whereas few others were slapped with cases. Even top TDP leaders like Paritala Ravi were murdered in broad-day-light and contract killer of Ravi, Moddu Sreenu, was later murdered in Jail, only to wipe out the facts. Cut back to present, it's high time that Election Commission must step in and take action against Jagan's threats. It's shame on Jagan Reddy to publicly threaten his political rivals rather than publicly facing them democratically through elections.This once again proves how desperate is Jagan to become CM but has least care for common people's plight. Already, Jagan and his party YSR Congress is splurging crores of rupees in elections to influence people.
