New Delhi: The News24-Today's Chanakya Exit Poll predicts a Modi wave in the country with the BJP predicted to win 291 seats (plus / minus 14 seats).

The Congress is predicted to slip to its lowest tally of 57 seats (plus / minus 9 seats).

As per the exit poll findings, the BJP can form a government on its own as its tally is way beyond the 272-mark required to form the government.

While NDA is predicted to win 340 seats (plus / minus 14 seats), the UPA could get 70 seats (plus / minus 9) and others 133 (plus / minus 11 seats.

As per the exit poll, Modi's magic has worked in UP and Bihar. By sweeping UP and Bihar, the saffron party is expected to log its best-ever performance in the two northern states.  

In the 80-seat UP, the BJP is predicted to win 70 (plus / minus 7 seats). It's a complete rout for the Congress, SP and the BSP. The Congress and its ally RLD are predicted to win only 3 seats (plus / minus 1), the SP only 4 seats (plus / minus 2) and the BSP 3 seats (plus / minus 2). In the 2009 elections, the Congress-RLD had won 26 seats, the BSP 20 seats, the SP 23 seats and the BJP 10 seats.

In Bihar, which accounts for 40 seats, the BJP and its ally LJP are predicted to win 31 seats (plus / minus 4 seats). The RJD-Congress combine are predicted to win 9 seats (plus / minus 2) while the JD(U) could slip to its lowest tally - between 0 and 2.
