sandy437 Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Many of my YSRCP friends are telling local and municipal elections are differnt. ..they will be based on candidate / caste / person etc. but If you see the results congress drawn empty in both municipal & Parishath elections.. Even though congress has cadre / caste / candidates many of them fail to get votes in both the elections.. The main reason is people of seemandhra any person / any caste / educated / un educated wanted to teach lesson to congress .. against to division of AP... only because of this congress did not win atleast considerable wards / mpps in seemandhra.. TDP which did a very good job in municipal elections , failed to repeat same in MPP elections which happend in 1 week later .. is because of alliance with BJP begin / arose in that time... The people of seemandhra might not convince with TDP joining with BJP ( which is also having major part of state division ).. so in 2maro results .. TDP might not show good performance like municipal elections.. it already wasted 13 mla seats ( even 1 mla seat also crucial) I still believe with my results i published in below long back a day before elections 6th may ( before release of MPTC / Municipal results , NDTV and other exit polls) i predicted TDP is strong from guntur to srikakulam and YSRCP strong at nellore / prakasam etc.. which everyone might agree now .. http://www.andhrafriends.com/topic/507495-ap-2014-election-results/ if you see the NDTV trends also .. yesterday NDTV trends you can see dip after TDP confrims the alliance..

Whether the large-scale migration of top Congress leaders, largely ministers in the erstwhile Congress government, into the Telugu Desam Party is a booster dose or a poison is another interesting issue that has its impact on the polling pattern. Change of strategy by Jagan just before announcing candidates and focusing on campaign by his sister Sharmila, his mother YS Vijayamma and Jagan himself in the last 10 days will become an indicator on which way they voters swung. contesting YS Vijayamma at Vizag atleast impacted 4-5 seats in Uttarandhra - its a strategic move....What has paid Naidu off, for sure, is that he has kept all the aspirants of the TDP guessing about the party tickets for the assembly and Lok Sabha seats and asked all of them to work for the party’s victory in the elections to civic and PR bodies. Jagan, however, announced the nominees for assembly and Lok Sabha seats long ago, who "saved for a rainy day" instead of expending lavishly for the party in the local body polls.
