Troubles continue to haunt tennis beauty Sania Mirza ever since she decided to marry Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik.

On Sunday, Sunni Ulma Board issued a fatwa to all Muslims not to attend the marriage of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik, because their pre-marital physical proximity is against Islam.

Moulana Hashim-Ul-Siiddiqui and Muft Naseem Ashrafi, who issued the fatwa said Sania and Shoaib staying together under one roof was against the tenets of Islam. “Physical proximity between a bride and groom before the marriage is not acceptable in Islam. As such, the fact that Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have been living under a common roof does not have sanction under the Shariat,” they said.

They issued a fatwa, stating that any Muslim attending Sania’s marriage would be acting against the Islamic law.

Sania who had been to a private function along with her family members, came to know about the fatwa and returned to her house immediately. The family is wondering what is going to the fate of the wedding and reception on April 15.
