BillMarkSteve
Mama billgates, Here is the story, USMLE Step 1 USMLE step2 CK USMLE step2 CS USMLE step 3 The exam preparation time totally depends on person... If person is knowledgeable they can manage them very easily... Mean while its better to work in some US hospitals, called Observership,externship.. hence the person can prove she is accustom to US hospital system ..in the process she can get Letter of Recommendation from doctors... After finishing all the abovementioned exams.. obsie and externship... The person has to register in ERAS(elecrtronic residency system)... Based on persons profile person has to apply for 200-3-- programs.. may get interview calls from east coast to west coast... Person has to attend all the interviews personally ..in winter season(SEP- JAN of every year).. After attending interviews... they have to register in NRMP(national residency matching process)..they will get the results in MARCH... Areas where money is involved: 1.Exam fees 2.Sometimes people take coaching at Kaplan centers in US.. If she want to join them ..Fees related to coaching 3. USMLEWORLD.COM Online question bank..(this is like bible).. Subscription fees 4.Sometimes externships and observerships involve some fees 5.RESIDENCY APPLICATION FEE(ERAS) 6.Travel expenses during interview season 7.Nrmp registration fee If person don't get match at first time.. except exams ..u have to REPEAT REST OF THE PROCESS ONCE A PERSON GETS INTO RESIDENCY..NO FEES INVOLVED WHATSOEVER THEY WILL BE GIVEN MONTHLY STIPEND..OF 3000-4000 USD Great Info man... Thanks... :)
