People having affinity for caste in certain things like marriages etc is OK(Personally i don't subscribe even to that, but kept aside) When people bring things like caste and community to the forefront , you will see things like people voting for certain candidates just because of their caste affinity, irrespective of whether the candidate is capable or not. This is just one example. Now when this attitude trickles down to every other preference, you have a polarized society. Seemandhra, UP etc are good examples. Every state has this in one way or the other. But in SA, which traditionally has had a highly educated population, the degree to which this exists is sad. Hopefully our next generations will be more objective
