Hottest Day In Delhi In 16 Years - 46 Degrees

Delhi today recorded its hottest day in 16 years with temperature at Palam touching 46 degree Celsius.

However, maximum temperature recorded at Safdarjung, considered the standard temperature for the city, was at 43.6 degree Celsius.

There has been no respite from the searing heat the last two days. Wednesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 25.6 degree Celsius.

The highest temp ever recorded at Palam was 48.4 degree Celsius on May 26, 1998.
