Agreed but  if the political will is strong enough, such things can be overcome.

 

Secunderabad airport was having the same issue with AirForce. You will see it happening in many cities in India where defence forces have a presence in the form of an airstrip or an airport. Civil aviation took off slow after independence in India. In many places in India airports which belonged to the defence forces were shared with civilian sector or leased out. Eventually the govt develops a separate airport for the regular public.

 

Getting more international flights to Vizag will be good in the long run, especially keeping in mind the industries already present there. If nothing, at least flights towards south east Asia will be good.
