ఇది ఒక అనూహ్య ఘటన. ప్రజల మదిలో విద్వేషాలు నింపి ప్రేమాభిమానాలకు చిరునామాగా ఉన్నతెలంగాణ ప్రజల్లో ఈరోజు సీమాంధ్రులంటే ఒక చిన్నచూపు ఉంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో హైదరాబాదులో సీమాంధ్రులపై వారు కన్ను పడాలి. కానీ సీన్ రివర్సయింది. సమైక్య నాటకాలు ఆడిన వారిని వదిలేసి అభివృద్ధి బాటన నడిచేవారుంటే చాలని ఎన్నికల్లో తీర్పిచ్చిన ప్రజలు అపుడు జగన్ కు షాకిచ్చారు.

తాజాగా వారు ఇపుడు టిఆర్ఎస్ నేతలకు, తెలంగాణ ప్రజలకు షాకిస్తున్నారు. తెలంగాణీయులు చేయాల్సిన ఉద్యమాన్ని సీమాంధ్రులే చేస్తున్నారు. ఆ ఉద్యమం పేరు “క్విట్ హైదరాబాద్”. హైదరాబాదు నగరమే తెలంగాణ గుండెకాయ. తెలంగాణకు వచ్చే ఆదాయమంతా ఎక్కువగా హైదరాబాదు నుంచి వస్తుంది. అంటే హైదరాబాదులో ఉన్న పరిశ్రమలు, సంస్థలు, దుకాణాల నుంచే వస్తుంది. ఈ ఆదాయానికి కారణంగా హైదరాబాదులో దాదాపు సగం మంది సీమాంధ్రులే. ఈరోజు రాయలసీమ మొత్తం ఆదాయం కంటే కూడా ఒక్క హైదరాబాదు ఆదాయమే ఎక్కువ. నిరంతరం మనల్ని తిట్టే వారికి మనం కట్టే పన్నులతో సేవలు చేస్తున్నారు. మనకిదేం కర్మ. “మన ఊరికి పోదాం, మన రాష్ట్రానికి పన్నుకడదాం, మన రాష్ట్రంలో పనిచేసుకుందాం” అంటూ సీమాంధ్రులు కొత్త ఆలోచనలో పడ్డారు. పడటమే కాదు, ఫేస్ బుక్ సాక్షిగా ఈ ఉద్యమం మొదలైంది. దీనికి సంబంధించి సామాజికి వెబ్ సైట్లలో తిరుగుతున్న ఒక సందేశ వార్తాంశం.

A finance ministry note submitted to the group of ministers examining issues relating to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh contradicts the claims of Seemandhra politicians that the region would stand to lose the lion’s share of revenue by ceding

Hyderabad to a separate Telangana state. According to the note, Telangana’s share (including Hyderabad) in tax and non-tax revenue for 2012-13 was Rs 61,414.13 crore, with Hyderabad contributing Rs 20,022.21 crore. Interestingly, coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema – jointly referred to as Seemandhra – together surpassed Telangana by contributing Rs 66,152.61 crore in revenue.

The note circulated to the GoM establishes that revenue from Telangana districts other than Hyderabad – Adilabad, Ranga Reddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mehbubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal – totalled Rs 41,391.92 crore during the last financial year.

However, while coastal Andhra accounted for revenue worth Rs 47,937.22
crore in 2012-13, the corresponding figure for four districts of Rayalaseema was Rs 18,215.39 crore, which is even less than the revenue from Hyderabad.

The revenue generated is from sales tax, excise, stamps and registration,
transport, mines and geology and other heads. The total revenue for Andhra Pradesh during 2012-13 stood at Rs 1,27,566.74 crore.

Andhra Pradesh finance department had recently informally put out information suggesting that Hyderabad contributed the lion’s share of the state’s total revenue.

However, it had said the income was only from revenue earning departments like commercial taxes, excise, transport, stamps and registration, mines, forests, and land revenue.

It said the state’s revenue in 2012-13 was Rs 70,548.27 crore with the

following break-up: Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts contributed the lion’s share of Rs 34,100.73 crore whereas coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema put together contributed Rs 21,538.94 crore. The remaining Rs 13,506.83 crore was contributed by other districts of Telangana.
