Emergency: Wrong Name In Flight Ticket - Air India

Hi,

 

I entered a wrong name in the flight ticket which i booked from UK(Heathrow) to HYD for today afternoon(Uk time)

 

I just realized it. Its an emergency situation for us..am in US . i booked this ticket for my sister in UK. she cannot miss the flight. I called up to Airindia customer care. they asked me to contact 'Air India City office' in London. They gave the numbers but none is lifting. Please let me know if she can change the name in the airport when she does the check in. Am in hell lot of tension..and so i entered it wrong.. :(

they shud be able to help if you call

but Air India I can feel you pain.. they just don't care

 

india lo govt employees laaga,...making ur life miserable makes them feel powerful

 

I was able to correct a type for my family member but that was a diff airline(US)

 

hope u get somebody on the phone

 

where did you book it?can the agent or travel site help if its not direct AI booking

Call custome care.. And inform them..

i informed them..they say that its not in there hands..only the local office can help..

 

i cant even send my sister to the office to talk to them ..she is already in lot of depression..

 

as i said this is a very bad situation for us. no one should get such situations when they are in other countries.

keeping on trying numbers... if possible try with travel agent with whom you booked

A. For bookings made online on our website www.airindia.in, please visit the "My Booking" section under "Manage your trip" to cancel or make the changes in your reservation. You can also rebook or cancel your flight by contacting the local Air India reservations office or by sending an email to [email protected]

However, our Call Centers, Airport and City offices would be able to help you in making changes to your itinerary, irrespective from where you purchased the ticket.

If you wish to change any of the details of your booking e.g. date and time, you must inform us of your changes prior to the scheduled departure of your flight to avoid any no show charges if applicable. Changes to your booking may incur a rebooking fee depending on the applicable fare rule.

If you still hav the time to cancel the ticket and make fresh booking..please do it asap....paisal bokka iyina Ade best option.
