mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Raj: "Roger Binny was a part of the team in the match when India were 9 / 4 wkts (lowest score after 4 wickets) and now Stuart binny is a part of joint third-lowest score list. Father-Son combination !!"

mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Isam pulls out this lovely stat. India had scored 16 when they lost their fourth wicket. It was their joint third-lowest score at the fall of their fourth wicket in ODIs.

mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Saini: "It was 31 years ago (june 18, 1983) captain Kapil Dev scored 175 n.o to take India from 4/9 to 8/266. On June 19, 2014 captain Suresh Raina will score ? to take india from 4/16 to ?" Phani also pointed this out, but he said 21 years ago. I don't blame you. We all think the 80s were only 20-odd years ago :)
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 2.55pm Alagappan Muthu may or may not have some good news. "Can't really be sure if its stopped or still drizzling a touch," he says. "Can definitely update that things are looking better though. And that that threatening cloud is at bay for now."
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Balaji: "Anyone else worried about the future of this Indian batting line-up? A hint of swing in the sub-continent against Bangladesh pace bowling in an ODI and they fall like nine pins...what happens when they tour overseas and it is the 1st session of a June test in Headingley? One shudders to think..."
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Phani: "Kapil Dev was part of the team in all 3 occasions which topped the list of "lowest total by India for the fall of 4th wicket".. And his avg in those matches is staggering 116 with one ton and one half-ton scores.." That's a good spot. That 175* against Zimbabwe, of course, then a 52 against West Indies in Gwalior, and - well, he can't score runs all the time, can he? - 5 against Pakistan in Sialkot.
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 sooraj kamath: "Talking of uneven pitch, why has Raina been able to play like someone from another planet? Is it just his too good form, or is he having the roll of dice in his favour?"
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 3.40pm "It's drizzling just a wee bit," Alagappan says.
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Kamran: "What is the weather condition now? Will it permit an hour long nap?" I think it will (but don't take my word for it). Last I heard, the rain had stopped, but the outfield is still quite wet and will need quite a bit of Super-sopping.
mahesh1 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 The way he's timing his shots, he definitely looks in great touch. But I think he's helped by being left-handed, simply because the bowlers haven't managed to adjust and find a good line to him yet. Lots of balls on his pads and hips, and a few where they've overcompensated and slanted it too far across him.
