I lived in santa monica for 3 years.  Its nice but little bit costly.  You can get single bed room starting @ 1600$.

Culver city is another good option to stay ,single bed room starting @$1300.

You will have lots of indian community in this place. 

Santa Monica is really good and porsch area. 

Culver city is like a town. 

 

If you are searching in santa monica. dont search near santa monica down town ,its really expensive . 

Search near the Federal avenue, butler avenu, santa monica library. dont search close to the beach area. go away 4 miles away from beach area to make it affordable.

If you do not mind travelling a bit(20-25miles), You can try in Woodland Hills area. I live here, and this community has large Indian population around.

u can stay in santa monica, inglewood deggara oka apts untayi...motham desis.....migatha areas in inglewood full nallollu...

 

culver city lo desis untaru....chala...

 

westchester is alsoa  good place

 

out of all these, i would suggest either santa monica or culver city
