ye maaya chesave Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Story: N Venkateswara Rao (Naga Shourya) is an youngster whose ambition is to become a famous TV newsreader just like his bedridden father. He works in a TV studio that is owned by Uday (Srinivas Avasarala). Uday is a socially awkward guy and is bad at communicating with women. Venkateswara Rao falls in love with Prabhavathi (Rashi Khanna) few years back when he visits a relative in Vizag. They break-up because of a misunderstanding. The rest of the story is all about what happens when Uday wants to impress upon Prabhavathi. Performances: Naga Shourya was confident enough in his debut and though he went over expressive at times, his performance was fine. Raasi Khanna was so beautiful and also her performance was good. Avasarala Srinivas has done a role which is best suitable for him and he was too good and entertained as much as he can. Rao Ramesh made his presence felt. Pragathi,Satya Krishnan,hema and others were okay. Screenplay-Direction: Screenplay was very good for the first half without a single boring moment, the Vizag episode between lead pair worked out well because of fun moments and good visuals. Second half maitains the pace but is comparatively weak to first half but still Avasarala Srinivas manages with in between comedy. However, the reason for the break up between lead pair , hero characterization in 2nd half , climax appeared a bit silly. On a whole Avasarala Srinivas scores good marks in his first attempt. Other Departments: Dialogues written by director himself were so good, Camera work was very nice especially in vizag episode. Music by Kalyani kooduri also works for the film, both song and background score are fine. Editing is alright. My Rating: 6/10 Analysis: Oohalu Gusa Gusalade - A Well Made Romantic comedy, Though has it's share of flaws works because of Performances\Dialogues and situational comedy.
