badshah_afdb4 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 According to a section of media reports , YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy, the prime accused in Jagan’s disproportionate assets case could be disqualified from electoral politics if proved guilty. The Congress party, which has burnt its itself by taking up bifurcation , is keen to have YSRCP merged into Congress to reclaim lost base in Seemandhra as the party could not even win a single seat in recent elections. Media abuzz, AICC president Sonia Gandhi’s friend Suman Dubey brokering Jagan Reddy-Sonia deal. Congress leader Ahmed Patel, BK Hari Prasad, Suman Dubey held a closed door meeting with Jagan’s uncle YV Subba Reddy at a hotel of a Congress Rajya Sabha Member in Bangalore , last week. The Congress has offered AP leadership to Jagan and permanent invitee status to his mother Vijayamma along with Rajya Sabha seat to her. Congress has assured financial and legal help to Jagan to bail him out from cases . Meanwhile Jagan reportedly demanded 1500 crore package from AICC treasury in lieu for his 830 crore attachments of Enforcement directorate. If everything goes by plan YSRCP could be merged into Congress by the end of December 2014.
