worstandhra Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Racho racha....Anni states ni kotti asala kottlasina state ni kotti mari vachindhi AP ki ............. Encouraging news... no doubt. But investment of that scale is not sufficient bhayya...at the moment. AP needs investment in lakhs of crores for new infrastructure. The main feed for all these industries is Electricity Power which is a bigger challenge for the new Govt. Mean while states like TN, Karnataka, M'rastra, Gujarat all have excess production of industrial power (not domestic though). So to be competitive first, the problem of power should be resolved. Pakka states nunchi power ni purchase cheese antha kaalam AP ki chinna industries vosthayi gaani peddavi raavu.

I had to Google. KA is in a position to challange Gujarat also. See the economic output of 2011-12 FY. Now also it is in leading position. But it is famous because of IT in B'lore. Otherwise also - in industrial sector - it is still dominating. Power situation might be bad at times in TN (especially due to Neyveli Issues) but in general in last 3-4 decades, see the number of MNCs that set up full-pledged production houses in TN. ..ok I am not sure about this. Why are the power plants closed in AP, is it due to political tensions or deficit rainfall or lack of coal supply?
