hospitals are also eligible...only respective company's HR can tell you if they are profit or non profit..some times they show it on their website too

Correction: Non profit H-1 max duration is also 6 years just like regular H-1B. somebody mentioned that there is no years limit which is not correct.

 

 +ve: University jobs are pretty cool. You only work 8 hours a day and lots of holidays. University lo job unte mana spouse or children ki discount in tuition fee.

 

 -ve: salary is below market rate. green card matram konchem kashtam because if you are a staff member they might opt for EB-3 but if you are a faculty they might opt for EB-2.
