athadu Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 You can join in any Non - Profit organization (of course, we are talking about a full time here). The H1's they apply from these NPO do come under any kind of quota ( meaning we do not have a 65000 limit) Can be applied whenever you get a job. Go to www.usf.edu ikada you will find lot of jobs. Only thing enti ante, you cannot use this h1b to transfer to a for profit org. You will have to go through the same cycle, like the April 1 deadline, 65k quota blah..blah.blah.. hope this is clear. The same scenario does not apply for a h1 transfer from for profit to non profit.

I think you are partially correct, 1st time non-profit ninchi H1b veskunte you cannot move to Profit kaani, If you are doing H1b from Profit -Non-Profit. then you can switch to Profit again as you are already been through the lottery system once as it is valid for 6 years. Please correct me if am wrong.

" Once you are under cap, no matter to which org you do a transfer it does not matter, you can transfer from profit to non profit and vice-versa
