No More Tainted Mp's And Mla's

Narendra Modi , in his first speech in Parliament, had said that both houses of parliament needed to be made free of tainted members and decisions in all cases against parliamentarians should come within one year.

Taking a step in that direction, Ministry of Home Affairs wants compliance report from all states and UTs on tainted MPs in 30 days. Also, a monitoring mechanism will be set up to ensure time bound trial of the cases even at the district level.

The letter from MHA says, “The police and other authorities should be instructed to ensure the highest priority be given... that the case is not delayed for want of production of witnesses or documents"
