The birth anniversary of well known freedom fighter and Alluri Sitarama Raju, who also fought for the rights of Adivasis, were held all over the state of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took part in the celebrations and announced that a museum will be set up at Visakhapatnam in the memory of Alluri. Naidu said all efforts will be made to install his statue in the Parliament. There is also a demand from people that Visakhapatnam distrcit be named after him.
