Social Security Supervisor Got Me Manhandled by Guards, Harassed, Pushed, and Physically Thrown out
Of Social Security Office for Asking for a Document I Needed and Deserved

I am forced to live my life without a state issued ID. Having been denied the right to an ID, I can’t enter many buildings, I can’t drive, and I am often treated as a no-body, as someone who does not exist. Ah—I am also used to being insulted and harassed and thrown out of government offices where administration and guards often take pleasure in manhandling me, because I can do nothing better than silently shed tears of humiliation and injustice within the boundaries of my home. No, I am not an illegal immigrant, I am not a criminal—I am a harmless and a helpless woman who is lawfully and legally present in this country for over 6 years on an H4 dependent visa, which also makes me the most insignificant person in this country.
My fault? The DMV—the authority that issues state IDs requires me to show them a Social Security Card or a “letter of denial” (proving ineligibility for Social Security Number) in order to issue me an ID. I can get these documents ONLY from the Social Security Office. Our local social security office in Jersey City categorically denies me either of these documents. They refuse to even give me a “letter of ineligibility for Social Security Card”. I ask the Supervisor—who vindictively gives me wrong letter that is a) useless, b) DMV refuses to accept it. Probably due to some prejudice against my color or race or my immigration status, the Jersey City social security office supervisor also decides to treat me worse than an animal or a criminal. As I go on to reiterate to her how badly I need that document for DMV to give me a license or an ID—she responds by asking me to get out of her office. When I re-state my need—she gets me thrown out by her guards. Taking pleasure at my condition, they manhandle, push, and throw me out. Struggling with loss of dignity, humiliation, harassment, injustice, and physical manhandling—I painfully ask where I should go for justice, I hear a mocking sound “Go to the President of America!”
Will the President of America hear the pain in my silent tears? I didn’t break any law in entering the USA. How many times will I be thrown out of Government Offices—how many times will I be denied an identity. So either I carry my passport everywhere which I have been doing for the past 6 years or not even be able to enter my doctor’s office building. Denying me the right to a driving license restricts my right to freely move around to get my basic needs fulfilled. (No, I am not complaining that I don’t have the right to work—I bowed my head long back to your decision that qualified H1B visa dependents cannot earn a dignified living).
What’s my fault—is it that they do not like my race or accent or is it my immigration status? Why do they feel free to abuse, harm, destroy, and damage me? And they say that I should not complain. Should I just learn to live my life with my dignity stripped off, my movements restricted, and people refusing to acknowledge my identity -- denying my existence as a human being and even physically ill treating me—after all I am just an insignificant woman on a dependent H4 visa--making me less than a human being and someone who can be kicked by anyone.

I am surprised..cos I have myself helped more than 2 people in same circumstances ,to get a letter of non eligibility form Social Security Office from the same Jersey City

Probably it is the fault (discrimination !) of that particular officer !

She should have tried else where...for the matter she can at any social security office through out USA !

Unnecessary and useless drama !
