A 1 Megawatt solar power plant is set up at Thatikonda Mandal of Guntur District and it is inaugurated by SPDCL CMD Dora . Dora stated that a lakh of expenditure will incur for 1 Kilowatt solar energy and clarified that the users will be getting 50 % rebate . Dora further clarified that generation of wind power is also necessary along with the solar power to combat the shortage of electricity and appealed the need of Industrialists to setup solar power projects
