Bjp Slams Kcr On Polavaram Ordinance

The BJP has blamed the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for maintaining silence over crucial issues at the time of bifurcation and raising them now.

Party spokesperson N Venugopal Reddy has accused the TRS of colluding with the Congress at the time of introduction of the Bill. He objected to Mr. Rao blaming the BJP government for Polavaram ordinance and the loopholes in the Bifurcation Bill.

“Our leader Mr Arun Jaitley objected to giving more powers to Governor in the Bill. It would only interfere with the elected government. But, KCR accused the BJP of trying to stall the Bill,” Mr Venugopal Reddy pointed out.

Similarly, the BJP leaders of the Telangana have approached Mr Rajnath Singh and asked him to keep the Polavaram and adjoining mandals under the control of Centre until completion of the project and then hand over the seven mandals to Telangana State. The TRS government instead of coming up with proposals has been simply mudslinging at the BJP government for political gains, he added.
