Just by virtue of having a capital in the Vijayawada region, there will be tons of govt offices coming up there. Secretariat is just one such example. We are looking at many such offices there in the future and the ancillary industries that will come up because of this.And let me tell you, the decision to locate the capital there is hugely debatable in such a financially tight situation. But seems that water has gone down the bridge anyways.

 

Also a democratically elected state govt is responsible for the whole state at least in principle.  Maybe next time the people there will vote for NDA, who knows.

 

The idea should be to spread the development so resentment does not turn to hatred, and not localize it to one region in the fear of others asking for a probable separation in the distant future. If such fears are there, then do more for one's own region but not at the expense of others.

 

Specifically coming to Rayalaseema, today it might be a reason for deficit. But  it is ideal for locating heavy industry if common sense indeed prevails in this state govt for a change. Destroying farmland for that purpose is not suitable for anyone.  Proximity to Chennai and Bangalore is another plus there.
