Congress leader and former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy has said that the amendment to AP Reorganization Act will be struck off by Supreme Court. HE feklt that the route of Ordinance to merge Khammam mandals with Andhra Pradesh, is not correct. He said the Amendment cannot be brought about without consulting the T Government. This is because state bifurcation is complete under Articles 3 and 4. He said the tribals in Khammam are not just Scheduled tribe but they belong to primitive tribal groups (PTGs) and are opposing the project.
