Anta Assamey Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 We frequently see Ram Gopal Varma making sensational comments just to stay in the limelight. But apparently, there is one more person who seems to be following in his footsteps. What is sad about this person is that she is making comments while holding a very responsible position and her remarks could have serious implications for the security and unity of the country. She is none other than Kavitha, daughter of KCR and sitting MP from Nizamabad. In an interview given to a newspaper, Kavitha made the comments that Telangana and Kashmir were not part of India before 1947. “Both Telangana and Kashmir were not part of India before 1947. They were separate nations. But we were forcibly annexed to the Indian Union after 1947. Our troubles have started since then,” said Kavitha. She probably meant that life was a bed of roses for the T-people under the Nizam. Further waxing eloquent on Kashmir, Kavitha expressed the view that parts of Kashmir really did not belong to India. “Parts of Kashmir do not belong to India. We should accept reality and come clean on Kashmir. The international borders should be redrawn. The budgetary allocation for defence spending on the borders can then be utilized for the development of the economy,” said Kavitha. Why did Kavitha make such statements? Is it just an attempt to draw the nation’s attention to her? Thousands of brave Indian soldiers have lost their lives in Kashmir in protecting the sovereignty of our nation. Does their sacrifice merit such kinds of comments now? Apparently KCR’s family is not just satisfied with redrawing the map of Andhra Pradesh; they now want to redraw the map of the whole of India. Interestingly, this seems to be the stand of the whole TRS Party. During the peak of the T-agitation, TRS MP Vinod kumar made a similar statement. “We are not Indians. We were forcibly annexed to India,” said Vinod Kumar during a debate in a TV Channel.
