When arrested and produced before the magistrate he declared his name as ‘Azad’. A firebrand revolutionary was thus born. After withdrawal of the non-cooperation movement, Chandra Sekhar Azad took up arms to fight oppressive forces and became a contemporary of Bhagat Singh in the freedom struggle. Today is the birth anniversary of Late Sri Chandra Sekhar Azad who made the supreme sacrifice for the cause of the nation… TDP pays rich tributes to this inspirational freedom fighter.
