BReBeL
Vendors wont b technical ga sound undaru bhayya. If they are showing some thing they know about your technology than they might be having bunch of collected q's from google If some one is trying to ask you in terms of technology politely ask them whether he/she belongs to the technology and as you keep a experience which is of not exact tell him that you are of experienced and will talk only to a person who is technically strong enuf to question me. Most of them are our desi ppl only so no need to worry.

phatposts
If you learn the technology, and have good speaking skills Vendor calls should be very easy. Be prepared to face some silly questions and respond with patience. After a minute or so, you will get an idea abt the vendor is technical or not. If they are non-technical, I usually talk generally rather than specifically. If they are asking very stupid questions, I revolt. For eg: okadu nannu What is Java, What is SQL ani start chesadu. Vaadiki manchi class peekanu. "Just because I am responding do not pose 5th grader questions ani" Debbaki sarigga matladadu. Oka 2 projects ayyaka nenu personally Indian vendors (like TCS Wipr Infosys ....) vaalla calls answer cheyyatledu. That is my personal choice. All the best.
