timmy Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 KCR government got a setback in the High Court over his new proposal for imposing tax on the vehicles of Andhra Pradesh, entering Telangana. High Court ordered that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government should stick to the GO no.43, which was issued by the Governor Narasimhan on 1st of June, which said that no tax should be imposed on AP vehicles, entering Telananga, till 2015 June. But Telangana government recently amended this GO and issued a circular, which entailed imposing tax on vehicles, entering Telangana.

timmy Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 AP Transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao has lambasted Telangana Chief Minister KCR for violating the provisions of AP Reorganization Act 2014, with regard to collecting taxes on vehicles entering from AP. He said as per the Act, no tax can be collected at border check posts until March 31, 2015. He faulted the Telangana government for collecting taxes from AP vehicles since Tuesday morning. He called it atrocious and unfortunate. He said democratic means shall be followed by elected governments
