The Great Handshake: Kcr Shakes Hands With Cbn At Begumpet Airport

What the people of AP and Telangana have been waiting ever since the two states were formed, has taken place at last, today. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM KCR has shaken hands at the Begumpet airport in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan. They have shaken hands for the first time after taking oath as Chief Ministers. And the occasion was receiving of President Pranab Mukherjee who visited Hyderabad to take part in the NALSAR convocation. This was not an ordinary handshake, given the bitterness the two leaders had, since the run-up to the 2014 Assembly elections. They did not even meet during the Governor's Iftar party recently.

Finally, the epic moment has occurred. The historic ever moment of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu shaking hands with his Telangana counterpart K. Chandra Sekhar Rao has taken place on Saturday. Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad has venued this landmark incident.

This might sound little exaggerated, but the issue gains much significance as this is the first-time after the formation of Telangana, both KCR and Chandra Babu have met.

While President of India Pranab Mukherjee made it to Hyderabad, CMs of both states and Governor ESL Narsimhan were presented at Airport to receive him. There were many interesting moments took place. Mr Naidu and KCR finally shook their hands and threw smile at each other. Naidu has patted the back of KCR and congratulated for his victory in recent elections. Thanks to Mr Pranab Mukherjee for finally uniting KCR and Naidu. While Naidu just greets President, KCR accompanies President to the Nalsar University.

Though earlier, Naidu offered olive branch to KCR and invited him, the latter chose to snub him. Even in Governor's Iftar Party the duo was supposed to meet but KCR chose to skip the event. With none other than President visiting Hyderabad, joint capital of both States, it is courtesy for both CMs to receive him.
