Nice_Guy Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 In these trying times, it is imperative that the Indians should follow the ancient traditions and inspiring and it is important to enlighten school children who are in their early formative stage with rich texts like Mahabharata and Bhagwad Gita, this has been strongly propagated by A R Dave, the learned judge of the Supreme Court of India. Addressing a huge gathering at the International Conference on `Contemporary issues and challenges of human rights era of globalisation’’, in Ahmedabad, Justice Dave said on Saturday, that Indians had forgotten the ancient morals and values and thus were facing problems of violence and terrorism in the country, and hence it is imperative that the children from the nascent age should be imparted with the knowledge of Bhagwad Gita and Mahabharata to enable them to become ideal citizens of the country. The learned judge in all his wisdom said that if he had been the dictator of India, he would have introduced the sacred text of Bhagwad Gita and Mahabharata in class one in all the schools across the country, as this will help children learn, how to live life full of moral values and virtues, and quipped if something good can be achieved then he does not mind if people doubt his secular credentials.

accuman Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 not agreed ... Yes, 1+ as a Hindu. endukante for example naaku telisina reverend(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Reverend) vunnaru us lo. he knows more than me(Hindu) about Geetha in a good way. He never told one is better than other.(But Indian pastors force the people to practice one over they other. Why because the more people believe the same the life of pastor becomes easy there) what I am telling is we can learn something from each. For example you can learn lot of vocabulary from Bible also. You no need to practice. You can read. but India lo hindus ki gudi eppudu gurthu ki vasthadi ante manaki kastam or pandaga vachhi nappudu mathrame. others go once in a week. but we can learn a lot from Geetha. if you dont believe in it just do this way? why dont you read and remember each padhyam to improve your memory capacity?
sigsegv Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 a better approach is to take good principles from geeta and preach it as moral science. No need to preach the geeta itself...in that way we it will not appear like forcing hindusim on other religions people and atheists.
